The Harris School has engaged in a cooperative program with Yonsei University Graduate School of International Studies in Seoul, Korea. In this program, Harris School students who complete either the one-year AM program or the two-year MPP program may continue their studies at Yonsei University and earn a Master of International Studies (MIS).Students who successfully complete the Harris School AM or MPP program, who qualify in all ways for the MIS program, as determined by Yonsei University, may be admitted to this program as candidates for the MIS degree.Yonsei University will validate the Harris School AM or MPP programs as the first year of its MIS degree program. Students from the Harris School who enroll in the Yonsei University MIS degree program will be required to complete a minimum of 24 credits (typically two semesters of study) within one year as outlined by the Graduate School of International Studies before being awarded the MIS degree.Students enrolled in the Yonsei University Graduate School of International Studies who successfully complete the first year of a master’s degree program and who qualify in all ways for admission to the Harris School of Public Policy Studies, as determined by the Harris School, may be admitted to that program as candidates for the one-year AM program.Before being awarded the AM degree, students from Yonsei University who enroll in the Harris School AM program will be required to complete all the normal requirements for that program as determined by the Harris School and outlined in the Harris School announcements and other applicable University of Chicago policies. Courses taken previously at Yonsei University may allow students to substitute required Harris School courses with more advanced courses, per approval of the Harris School Dean of Students.
